Abrasive Water Jet Cutting
Consider Abrasive Water Jet Cutting for profiling parts from almost
almost any material, from metals to plastics,
laminates, tile, glass, rubber or any other
requirement. With no heat affected zone as with
laser, plasma, or torch, parts can be cut as
close as +/- .005" with a finished perimeter.
For stripper plates and similar parts, 5-10 times as fast as wire EDM.

Metal Fabrication
Definitive Design is adept at sheet metal
fabrication. Copper, aluminum, and stainless
steel are just a few of the metals we're capable
of working with. Our state of the art machine
shop enables us to perform high precision
secondary operations such as riveting, bending,
cutting, welding, punching, and small scale
assembly.

Wire
EDM
Our Charmilles 310 wire EDM allows us to work
with exceptionally tall parts, as well as those
with extreme tapers. Custom machine
modifications allow us to cut parts up to 108"
long. Precision thin parts can be stacked for
cost effective production rates. Where many
shops do not like to EDM aluminum, we have a
special filtration system that catches the large
volume of particulates that would clog standard
EDM filtration systems.
